We had a great Christmas stay in the beautiful mountains and forest. The hotel offered a fantastic breakfast with the option to make fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was a lovely touch. The location was perfect for us, nestled in the Northern Black Forest, allowing us to enjoy skiing and hiking activities. The spacious rooms and delicious regional dishes at the restaurant made our stay even more enjoyable.
The staff's limited English made communication a bit challenging, especially for my business partner who doesn't speak German. the beds were a bit soft for my preference, but that's a personal preference and didn't significantly impact our overall experience.

Limited English proficiency of the staff hindered effective communication with guests.

The hotel's location in the middle of the blackwood forest provides a serene and quiet atmosphere, perfect for walking excursions. The surrounding nature is exceptional, especially when enjoying the panoramic restaurant. The hotel facilities are well-equipped, with a clean sauna area that offers a refreshing retreat after a run on the moor. The staff is super friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasant experience. Additionally, the breakfast is one of the best I have had lately, and the evening kitchen serves delicious dishes, such as the recommended deer.

We spent Easter in this lovely hotel surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests. the location was perfect for hiking and skiing, and we enjoyed the fresh air and peaceful environment. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was responsive to our needs. the food offered at the restaurant was outstanding and we appreciated the focus on regional dishes.
we found the staff to be somewhat unfriendly and unhelpful.
